Fluff Battle (2018)

** Information **

Fluff Battle is a simple multiplayer game that supports up to 8 players. In each round, players try to collect stars that fall from the sky. The first person to get 5 stars wins.

The game can be played in single player, but to do this, you must open the options menu and enable the "CPU Add" option. This will let you add computer-controlled players to the round and battle against them.

If you want to play single player, or play with two players on one keyboard, it's probably better to play the web version (http://love-game.net/fluffbattle) which has pre-configured keyboard controls for two players and the "CPU Add" option enabled by default.

** Controls **

To quit the game when in fullscreen mode, use Escape or Alt+F4. Escape also terminates a round-in-progress.

Gamepad controls:
By default, Fluff Battle is set up to use gamepads for everything. If you have a gamepad plugged in, Fluff Battle will try to detect it and set up the controls automatically. If it works, you will be able to control the game as follows:

- Press any button to join the round.
- Once you have joined the round, press left/right on any analogue stick or directional pad to move around, and press any button to jump.
- If adding CPU players with the gamepad is enabled, you can press up/down on any analogue stick or directional pad to add or remove CPU players from the round. This only works if the "CPU Add" setting in the options menu is set to "Gamepad" or "Both".

Once there are at least two players in the round, a countdown timer will start, and once the countdown is done the round will begin.

Keyboard controls:
Fluff Battle also supports keyboard controls, but you have to configure them first. Press O to open the options menu and then select "Button Config". You can configure up to 8 sets of keyboard controls through this menu.

After keyboard controls have been set, you can press one of the jump keys you configured to join the round, and then use the left/right keys you configured to move.

You can also use the keyboard to add CPU players, if the option has been enabled. Press a key from 0 to 8 to add that many CPU players to the round. (If you try to add more than 8 players total, it won't work.) This only works if the "CPU Add" setting in the options menu is set to "Keyboard" or "Both".

Manual gamepad configuration:
If the automatic gamepad setup is not working correctly, you can try to configure your gamepad manually. The process is the same as for configuring keyboard controls: navigate to the "Button Config" menu and follow the onscreen instructions.

There are some limitations to manually configured gamepad controls:
- You cannot press any gamepad button to join the round. You must use the jump button that you chose in Button Config.
- You cannot use any analogue stick or directional pad to move. You must use the same stick or pad you used in Button Config.
- You cannot add CPU players with manually configured gamepads.
